Due to limited space on this page, I have shown brief examples of my projects. I would love to go over them in greater detail, face to face.

Description:
This web-based application lets users translate various file types to XML. Two file samples are uploaded, an input and an output, the user than maps the field from one document to the other. An anonymous user must do this configuration process every time. A registered user only has to do it ones. The registered user's configuration process includes an option for how the file is sent and received. This means that they can fully automate the entire flow of the data by configuring how the data is received by the system, translated into the output format, and sent to a web service.

Description:
Connected an entire office by building a Windows based Intranet system that was installed on every work station. It allows employees to performs various company functions. Each department has their own set of applications and enables users to create purchase orders, update product information, generate reports, and many more functions to increase productivity. The program includes a Peer to Peer chat program enabling co-workers to communicate in real time. 

Prior to this automatic sales sheet solution, a sales representative filled out a sales sheet template in a word document. every piece of information was filled including SKU, descriptions, images, price and a number of other details that already existed in the company's database. The process was redundant and time consuming. This new solution allows sales representatives to fill the above form, with minimal information such as a SKU. A sales sheet is generated by pulling product data from the database and automatically filling the rest of the form. The sales sheet is then categorized and later printed in order to send to clients. I brought down the time it takes to create a new sales sheet from approximately ten minutes to just a few seconds.

In an effort to save paper and reduce clutter, this program was created to digitize client documents and make these documents available for download on the company's web portal. This was made for a customs brokerage company which generates countless documents for every customer ranging from invoices, to government permits. The process starts when a clerk scans the documents. The scanner is configured to save the data to a location on the server. This program shows all waiting documents and allows a clerk to attach an invoice number or work order number to it. It is then, programmatically, transferred to the web server where it appears in the list of customer documents.

BILSI is a Toronto based freight forwarder and customs broker. I have developed a system for their clients to log on and check shipping rates. Functionality is also available for shipment creation and customs document generation. Clients have the ability to create shipments on the web site or connect to BILSI's web services from their own web site or shopping cart. Once a shipment is created, customs documents and shipping labels are automatically produced. This system allows BILSI's clients to connect to this system from their on-line shopping cart. Once an on-line consumer fills their shopping cart and checks out, shipping rates are fetched and displayed on the checkout page. When an order is created, the data is sent to BILSI through XML web services and customs documents are created for the shipment.

This web application was created for a duty free distribution company and allows their customers, duty free stores along the Canadian/US border, to place orders, view reports, and see promotions online. Orders are automatically entered into the ERP, customs, and warehouse systems without any human interaction, thus, saving time and money. 

Vandergraff makes electric motors for conveyor belts. Prior to a poultry farm convention, they had asked me to create a trade show video for them. The biggest challenge was making chicken carcasses look artistic.

This instructional DVD taught driving students how to pass the Ontario G1 written driving exam. It focused on memory tricks so the student would remember the material easily. I wrote the script base on the student driver's handbook, created the storyboard, filmed and edited the movie, created marketing material, and sold the video on line. This was one of the best hands-on learning experiences for me since I was involved in every step of the production.

Website to sell tickets for local music events run by Metroland Media Group.

Web portal created for PC Financial Mastercard sales reps. The portal was used for scheduling and to track applications collected in the field.
