Hello and thank you for visiting. I'm Lee Silver and I am a software consultant/developer. I've provided this site for you, to get to know me. Not only my professional side, but also my hobbies, interests, and goals in life. Please take the time to browse my site and feel free to contact me.

About Me

I have been programming professionally since 2003 and I am most comfortable using the .NET platform along with SQL. I taugh myself to program for IOS devices such as iPad and iPhone and have created various apps. I've also dabbled in many other programs and platforms including JAVA. I frequently use XML and web services in my apps and sites.

When I'm not designing websites or building software solutions, I spend my time with my two daughters and my wife. We own a sailboat and I try to sail as much as I can in the summer. I take to the skys on the weekend with my favourite pastime, hang gliding. I love the outdoors and I try to get out as much as possible.

I am passionate about small business marketing, e-commerce, and product development. I have created products for niche markets in the past and marketed them for online sales. I would do this for sport if I could. Nothing beats the feeling of making a sale on a product you've worked hard on materializing from a mere idea. It's not about the money at that point.

I shoot and edit videos for fun and for profit. I have taken on professional projects such as weddings and trade show videos as well as personal projects such as a time-lapse of my wife's pregnancy and in-flight hang gliding. I use Final Cut Pro, or Adobe Premiere and After Effects to edit.

I once created an instructional DVD that taught driving students how to pass their written exam. I filmed this 90 minute movie myself, with the help of some friends, and used Google Adwords to advertise. I used a PayPal "Buy Now" button to collect money, and Google Analytics to track customer behaviours. I tweaked the campaigns week after week until the conversion rate peeked. It was a great classroom. I've since improved my skills on selecting a market, choosing a product, and testing products before selling. It's an on-going learning process.
